24/7 Student Support

About Course
This course gives students a complete grounding in research methods and scientific writing, from developing proposals and reviewing literature to collecting, analyzing, and presenting data. It introduces research basics, article selection, referencing, and reference management software like Zotero; while also addressing predatory journals, plagiarism, and paraphrasing. Students practice framing research questions, building strong introductions, and conducting literature reviews with theoretical frameworks. Methodology is covered in detail, including sampling, data collection tools, and inclusion/exclusion criteria. Hands-on training with Google Forms, KoBo Toolbox, Nvivo, and SPSS equips them to handle both qualitative and quantitative analysis, including descriptive statistics, T-tests, Pearson, Chi-Square, and Likert data. The course also guides students through writing results and discussions, preparing manuscripts, understanding publication processes, and addressing limitations, policy implications, and abstracts. By the end, students are able to design and execute research projects, critically engage with existing work, and produce manuscripts ready for submission.
